2nd Breakfast
We use a big blue U-shaped pillow to feed Maddie and Veronica. It's designed for tandem breastfeeding, but works great for bottle feeding too. Sometimes the girls sit on each arm of the pillow, and sometimes they sit inside the "U", like they did today for second breakfast.

Sleeping Maddie
After returning from a "Mothers of Multiples" event this morning (6 sets of twins, 1 set of triplets, and their moms), Maddie decided to hang out in her car seat and take a nap. Car rides almost always lead to naps for both Maddie and Veronica.

Hospital Memories
I thought that I would catch up with some pictures from when they were in the hospital. These pictures give some sense for V and Maddie's first 17 days (it should be known that Heidi prefers to use the nickname Ronica).
It has only been two months, but it is hard to believe that Madeleine was ever this small.
Even though they were in a secure nursery, the girls had the extra security of the baby lowjack.
Veronica was ready to walk on to a SciFi movie set when she was under the bilirubin lights.
Maddie enjoying some quality time with her Daddy.
Veronica enjoying one of her first bottles with Mommy.
But enough with reminiscing... the newest development here in the present is that they have begun to sleep for longer stretches. Veronica even slept over five hours! It isn't consistent... and even worse they aren't in synch... but it is encouraging and exciting. It makes us dream (daydream) of the day they sleep the whole night.

Just a Bunch of Pics
Here is Madeleine having a meal... it could be her breakfast, second breakfast, brunch, late lunch, dinner, supper, midnight snack or her dead of night munchies... she eats every 3 to 4 hours... and lets us know when she wants to eat... NOW!
She is wrapped in a nice fluffy towel because she had just finished getting a bath (or 'Spa Time' as it is known here at our house)
Here is Veronica and Heidi enjoying some time together. Alert time these days is predominately taken up with eating or letting us know that they are ready to eat so times like this are a treat.
There is a preponderance of pink in our lives at the moment. Luckily, the girls look good in pink.
On February 19th, we celebrated their due date with Tiramisu and a '0' candle... even though they were six and a half weeks old at this point
There is a lot to learn, both about the girls and from the girls... here I should have learned that I should get sleep when I can... Just like Veronica has so clearly learned.
Over the river and through the woods... The girls are ready for their first visit to Grandma's house.
Which brings us to March 3rd, their two month birthday. A busy two months to be sure. With innumerable feedings and almost as many diapers, they both have doubled in weight and don't seem to have any plans to slow down.
That's it for now...

First Post
Welcome to Veronica and Madeleine's first blog...
Madeleine would like you to know that since neither she nor her sister can type that well yet (their spelling is atrocious, though they claim it is just 1337speak) they have asked us to post as their proxies. But due to lack of sleep and the fact that we probably aren't dedicated enough we don't promise that this will be truly kept up to date. And since no one has ever compared our wit to Noel Coward (or even Bert Lahr for that fact) we don't promise that this blog will be much more than a repository for pictures with minimal commentary.
