Veronica and Madeleine like to show affection in a somewhat unusual way. If you visit and see Veronica bending her head down and looking up at you then you should put your head down so she can give you a forehead kiss.

Both V and M are practicing standing. The record time aloft is 15 seconds, but that record is being broken almost daily so we fear that they will getting into more and more trouble in the coming weeks.

We put V and M down for a nap today and after we left the room we started hearing laughter and jabbering from their room. We filmed these through the door. Notice that Maddie sees the camera in the second video and makes sure to tell Veronica that it is there. I think we may have to go to a spystore if we want to see how they behave when they think they are alone. It is pretty obvious that they felt that it wasn't time for a nap... though once they went down, they were down for quite a while.

Both Maddie and Veronica enjoy wearing hats... actually that isn't quite correct. They like to wear our hats. They are fairly indifferent to their own.

Maddie wearing Heidi's hat.

Veronica playing under a laundry basket.

Playing together in the box.

Heidi gave the three of us matching pajamas for Christmas. I think that M and V pull it off a little better than I do. Heidi is mainly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of red.

Playing with (under) Tables

First Birthday

Maddie and Ronica would like to announce that they longer wish to be called 'babies' as they are now one year old. They would prefer to be called 'toddlers' (or when their diapers are full: 'stinkwagons')

While everyone else had to make do sharing one cake, Veronica and Maddie each had a cake of their very own (a cupcake).

Which made for a bit of a mess.

Heidi and Eoin got to show off how they know all the words to 'Fifteen Animals.'

And Ronica and Maddie enjoyed their new playthings.

First Christmas (aka: Naptime)

Though Maddie and Veronica did seem to enjoy their gifts (particularly a phone of their own) they seemed to appreciate the surplus of people willing to hold them while they napped even more.
